I Do Have Complaints With The Rorh World Cup List
Christian Chukwu who was once the coach for the Super Eagles has praised the list of the Super Eagles which of course is the first list and not the final to the Russia world cup for Nigeria.
Chukwu reported that the list is okay according to News Agency of Nigeria which he gave his opinion Enugu
NIGERIA NEWS had earlier reported that Rorhs had released about 30 man names among those who will participate in the Russia 2018 world cup Gernot Rohr.
Chuckwu added that the Rohr he knows, know much more of his players and their individual ability to make a difference“Rohr knows most of his players.
“Rohr must have selected those players he felt will deliver his intention of making the nation proud in Russia.’’
Christian Chukwu though he is not okay about some names added from the Nigerian Professional League since the qualification to the 2018 world cup was achieved without the young stars.
In his statement that Rorh should be added the names before the qualification and now that the world cup Nigeria will be participating is two months away “in order to start early to deal with the issue of blending the new and old players in the team together.
“They should have been added early; from the beginning of the qualifying stage.
“I don’t think it is proper to add them now due to blending issues unless they are going for jamboree,’’ Chukwu, who was a former Captain of the Super Eagles, said.
In our earlier report, we mentioned all the 30 players included in the Russia 2018, the players from Nigeriarancis Uzoho, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Daniel Akpeyi and Dele Ajiboye.
Defenders in the Nigeria World Cup list are Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo, Brian Idowu, Elderson Echejile, Shehu Abdulahi, Ola Aina, Tyrone Ebuehi, Stephen Eze and Chidozie Awaziem.
The midfielders did not leave Mikel Obi (Captain), Joel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, Mikel Agu, Etebo Oghenekaro, John Ogu, Uche Ago and Wilfred Ndidi in the list.
Nigerian attackers on the list are Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon, Victor Moses, Junior Lokosa (new entrant), Simeon Nwankwo (new entrant), Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho.
