Another gale of defection has reportedly hit the All Progressives Congress, Imo state chapter as two top senators dumped the party and subsequently, pitch their tent with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
NIGERIA NEWS gathers that Senators Ifeanyi Ararume and Osita Izunaso of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday, September 5, resigned their membership in the party as they joined forces with APGA.
The high-profile lawmakers were said to have had a two-hour meeting with the national chairman of APGA, Dr Victor Oye, at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, where the defection was perfected.
Meanwhile, it was learnt that Ararume and Izunaso are in a running battle with the state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
Meanwhile, in a related development, NIGERIA NEWS had reported that presidential aspirant file suit against APC over the high cost of form.
