Bafarawa Pledges To Support Any Candidate That Emerges As PDP Flag Bearer

A presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa has disclosed that the party is not going to settle for a consensus candidate in the 2019 presidential election.

Bafarawa who is a former governor of Sokoto State is among the over ten persons in the PDP who have shown their interest in contesting for the presidential election which has been scheduled to take place in 2019, by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

NIGERIA NEWS gathered that the Northerner presidential aspirant yesterday picked up the nomination form at the party’s secretariat yesterday in Abuja.

Bafarawa noted that all the members of PDP are brothers and sisters and as such would agree with whatever the result of the primary election says.

The former governor also disclosed that the high number of presidential aspirants in the party shows that the PDP is growing and waxing stronger.
He, however, emphasised that the focus of the party is to ensure that the All Progressives Congress, APC, is defeated in the forthcoming election.
