7 Raving Hit Songs Already Released In 2018
2017 was all about raving hits jamming up here and there on our stereos. Clubs were unrelenting with party jams they croon every night. The hot jams even got our dogs barking whenever it comes on. 2017 was indeed a blessed year for our musical talent out there.
Special shout out to Olamide, Wizkid, David, Mayorkun, Ycee, Small doctor, Timaya, Mr Eazi, Phyno-fino, Lil Kesh, Dice Ailes and our beautiful mama Tiwa Savage for the beautiful hit songs they released in 2017. You guys are really making us proud.
In the last posts published by NIGERIAN NEWS, we listed out seven authentic artistes fans should be on the lookout this 2018. We also published articles on the under-rated artistes of 2018, and implored you-the fans to give them chance to shine ‘wella’.
Today, NIGERIAN NEWS brings your doorstep mad jams released at the inception of 2018, and already making wave and raves all around town. The year started with hits like “shaku shaku” “Legbegbe” and “Shepeteri”; and it’s already a good sign that 2018 would be a great year.

After touching us with “Ponmile” last year, the first ever saddest song ever released by our man-Reminisce, he was inspired by the hit jam “Shaku Shaku”. This has prompted him to release the hit single titled – Problem. The sound is currently taking over the street, with A-list artistes jumping on the trend.
Dbanj ft Slimcase x Mr Real- Issa Banger
Verily Dbanj is doing the boys proud. 2017 was raved by his “It’s not a lie” which he featured Harrysong. Issa Banger is another new hit on the streets. its a collaboration between cream act Slimcase, Mr Real and the boss himself D’banj. Surely Dbanj was also inspired by the street trend Shaku Shaku on this one. Issa Banger is definitely on the top 5 Shaku Shaku songs so far.
Ycee- I Wish
Ycee was a raving hit in 2017. From “Something Light”-a collaboration with the bahd guy, to mad jam-another collaboration Viktoh. He continues to strive in the industry, and has decided to flourish us with the new jam titled- “I wish”. We totally acknowledge his hard work and good delivery. Zoro ft Chidinma – Oyoko
Between Zoro and Phyno, we don’t even know who has the ‘madder’ Igbo vibe to deliver solid Igbo raps and content. Surely Zoro would be making us proud this 2018. He opened the new year with the new single featuring female act – Chidinma titled – Oyoko. This is a good omen that good things are coming from our boy- Zoro.
DJ Spinall ft. Simi X Rage – Don’t Let Me Go (Remix)
If a producer like DJ Spinall cannot pave some positive way for others to follow, I wonder which producer would. The bad-ass DJ and producing artiste launched 2018 with “Don’t Let Me Go’ remix featuring female sensation Simi. The song took a different creative direction as singer and producer Rage x Tega jumped on the track.
Yung6ix – Ferragamo Ankara
Yung6ix’s “High Star” was a mad jam in 2017 and now with his release of Ferragamo Ankara this 2018, things are surely going to turn up this year from the helms of the young multi-talented 6ix. The south South act presented this song as a follow up to his Niniola featured song – “Gbe Seyin”.

From Baby Answer to Iyanu to his 2017 collaboration with Banky W and some others, Iyanya is showing us he is not all about the muscle but has content upstairs that can jam so mad. The Mavin Records signed act Iyanya dropped Good Vibes as a follow up to his recent hit song – “Holy Water” and has opened his 2018 for sure greatness.
