Accident: Truck Kills Man In Ogun
A fatal accident which involved a truck and a motorcycle has left one person dead and another one seriously injured in the early hours of today in Ota, Ogun State.
The incident was confirmed to journalists by Mr Clement Oladele, Ogun Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
The commander disclosed that the accident happened around 6.20 a.m. on Monday. He narrated that a truck, a motorcycle and four people were involved in the accident which left one person dead and the three other people seriously injured.
Oladele further disclosed that the truck which was on a journey towards Sango Ota was on high speed as it ran into a motorcycle coming in the opposite direction which was trying to dodge potholes.
According to the commander, the remains of the dead victim has been deposited in the morgue while the other three who were injured are in Ota General hospital receiving medical treatment.
In the words of Oladele “The corpse of the victim has been deposited at the mortuary of the General Hospital, Ota, while the survivor is receiving treatment at the same hospital.’’He also disclosed that operatives of the FRSC have been deployed to the accident scene in order to ensure that the road is traffic free.
