1. Saraki Reveals Plans By IGP Idris To Implicate Him, Gov Ahmed In Criminal Offence
The Senate president, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Wednesday raised the alarm that the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim kpotun Idris, has plotted to implicate him in a criminal offence.
Saraki said he was reliably told by his state governor, Ahmed Abdulfatah that the IGP has ordered for the immediate transfer of criminal suspects to Abuja with the ulterior motive to implicate him and the state government.
2. Dino Melaye Regains Freedom
The embattled Senator representing Kogi West in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye has been granted bail by a Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja.
In his ruling on Wednesday morning, the Kogi State Chief Judge, Justice Nasiru Ajana said he had considered the health situation of the third defendant, hence the need to admit him to bail with the sum of N10 million with one surety.
Senator Melaye was accused of sponsoring arms and working with suspected political thugs – Kabiru Saidu AkA Osama ahead of the 2019 general elections.
3. Emmanuel Kanu’s fiancee speaks on his abduction
According to her, Emma was never abducted or whisked away by the Abia police command as reported in most of the national dailies.
She wrote,”He was never abducted or whisked away by whoever according to the news making the rounds on social media.”
The Indigenous People of Biafra,IPOB, on Tuesday accused the police special Anti-robbrry Squad(SARS) of abducting Nnamdi Kanu’s brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu and his cousin, Bonaventure Uche Njoku .
But the Abia state commissioner of Police, Anthony Ogbizi said he did not arrest Nnamdi Kanu’s brother or order the arrest of anybody from that family.
Prince Emmanuel Kanu’s fiancee, Favour Michael Chioma, has taken to her Facebook page to debunk the alleged abduction of her fiance, Emmanuel Kanu.
Emmanuel Kanu is the younger brother of the missing IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
