Army Invade Drug Traffickers’ Hideout; Recovers 63 Bags Of Indian Hemp

According to Adenegan 23 used cartridges and nine unused ones were found in the possession of the gang.

The Nigerian Army raided the hideout of a group of drug peddlers in Ondo.
The gang were said to be carrying out their criminal activities when the Army stormed their hideout in a bush in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State and recovered about 63 bags.
This was revealed by Captain Ojo Adenegan, Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Cantonment in Akure on Wednesday.
According to Adenegan 23 used cartridges and nine unused ones were found in the possession of the gang.
He further revealed that the army embarked on the operation in the bush after it received information on ongoing criminal deeds by the gang.
Adenegan narrated that the gang had engaged in a gun battle with the army during the raid, but ran away when they sensed that the army would overpower them.
In the words of Adenegan, “The troop of 32 Artillery Brigade in Ondo State on Monday busted a notorious Indian Hemp gang in a forest in Owo.”
“The troop recovered 63 bags of Indian hemp, 23 expended cartridges and nine unexpended cartridges.”
Adenegan urged residents of Ondo state to be security conscious and always report any criminal activity to the approriate authorities.
He also warned that henceforth, the state would not tolerate any criminally minded individual.
