Thieves Burgled Coutinho’s House While On A Dinner Date With His Family
Philippe Coutinho’s house which was acquired for him by former teammate, Luiz Suarez has reportedly been burgled by unknown men on Monday, February 19.
The former Liverpool player and current Barcelona star might not be opportune to watch his Barcelona teammates take on the English giants, Chelsea live in Tuesday’s Champions League round of 16 first leg clash at the Stamford Bridge after his house in Catalonia was reportedly burgled by unknown men.
Recall that the 25-year-old Coutinho made a whopping £142 million move from Liverpool to Camp Nou during the January transfer window.
He was reportedly away on a dinner date with his family when the ugly incident occurred.
The Brazilian star only found out about the matter when he returned home from the dinner outing around 1.30am on Tuesday morning, February 20.
Meanwhile, barely hours after the Barcelona star’s Audi car was earlier dragged away by the authorities on Monday, thus the recent ugly incident happened.
Coutinho’s Catalonia home was selected by his neighbour, Luis Suarez ahead of his arrival at the Nou Camp, after the pair previously played together at Anfield.
Coutinho who is making some changes to the house, which apparently made it easier for the thieves to gain access is said to have immediately contacted police upon his return to the home to report the alleged burglary..
The Barcelona midfielder is ineligible to feature for Barca in the Champions League having played for the Liverpool during the group stage.
