Actions Speak Louder Than Words – Aisha To Osinbajo
The co-convener of BringBackOurGirls, (BBOG), advocacy group, Aisha Yesufu, has called on the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, to act rather than continue to remain silenct on issues threatening democracy in the country. Aisha made the call on her Twitter page on Monday.
The activist stated this in reaction to the clampdown by the police on a peaceful protest organised by the BBOG members at the Unity fountain in Abuja on Monday.
She wrote, “Let’s remember the clampdown on Unity Fountain Abuja started when Vice President Yemi Osinbajo @ProfOsinbajo was acting President. He owns this shame. A professor of law for that matter. Power make them to crazy. Power that is so transient.”
“Vice President, Prof Osinbajo can continue to play the ostrich. When his biography is read it would have a chapter on how he clamped down on the democratic space in Nigeria when he was acting President.”
“He should continue with the nice speeches. Actions speak louder than words.”
Recall that NIGERIA NEWS had earlier reported that the Bring Back Our Girls advocacy group were dispersed with teargas during its protest in Abuja
