Emerging report claimed that Chelsea star Reuben Loftus-Cheek will not be in action for his side this weekend when Sarri’s men tackle against Cardiff in the Premier League race due to a foot injury.
The 22-year old has been ruled out of action for about two weeks following a foot injury he picked up in England’s 1-0 win over Switzerland in an international friendly encounter.
The Chelsea midfielder limped out of the pitch in the 61st minute after Zakaria in the game that took place at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday, September 11.
However, Reuben’s impressive start under new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri this season might have suffered a set back as he will be left out in this weekend’s clash against Cardiff City and also in the squad that will battle PAOK Salonika in their Europa League opener in Greece next Thursday.
The England soccer star is also doubtful for his side’s EFL Cup clash against Liverpool on Wednesday, September 26.
Loftus-Cheek spent the last season on loan at Crystal Palace where he scored twice in 24 appearances for the Glaziers.
His hopes of fighting for his place in Maurizio Sarri’s team may not be possible due to the arrival of Mateo Kovacic on loan from Real Madrid joining N’Golo Kante and Jorginho in the midfield.
In an earlier report, NIGERIA NEWS had reported that Chelsea playmaker set to quit Stamford Bridge the Italian club.
