Boko Haram: Troops Wipe Out Insurgents, Arrest Top Bomb Expert In Gombe

The troops of Operation Lafiya Dole recorded huge success on Tuesday, April 10, as the gallant soldiers apprehended a major explosive devices maker in Gombe.

The Nigerian army was said to have arrested one Adamu Hassan, ‘Boko Haram’ insurgent who specialises in making Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in Kaltungo town of Gombe state.

Confirming the arrest, the deputy director, Army public relations, Operation Lafiya Dole, Col. Onyema Nwachukwu said the suspect was arrested during a joint operation with Department of State Security Service (DSS).

The force spokesperson in a statement said that the suspect, also known as ‘Baale’, was apprehended at a checkpoint in the town along the busy Gombe to Yola highway during a Stop-and-Search operation.

In a related development, the army spokesperson disclosed that troops also killed three ‘Boko-Haram’ insurgents in two separate encounters at the Bokko Hilde mountainous region along Ngoshe to Pulka road and Mujigine general area in Borno, on April 9.

“The troops neutralised the insurgents during clearance operations and recovered two AK 47 rifles and a motorcycle,” he said.

Going further, Nwachukwu expressed that in another joint operation with members of a vigilante group, the troops foiled a raid by terrorists rummaging for food and logistics at Kudiye community along Dikwa to Gulumbagana road in Borno.

The command spokesman who said the insurgents were intercepted following a tip- off the (insurgents) were on their way to attack the community revealed that the army was able to recover two motorcycles, bags of grains and tamarind from the blood-thirsty terrorists.

According to him, the insurgents have admitted that they belong to the Abubakar Shekau’s faction, adding that they are now in custody assisting with useful information.

“It is expedient to bring to public awareness that in their desperation to survive troops’ onslaught and remain relevant, the Boko Haram terrorists have continued to make frantic efforts to infiltrate communities with Person Borne Improvised Explosive Devices ( bombers) to callously unleash terror and fear on the populace.

“Members of the public are therefore enjoined to remain vigilant and watchful while going about their normal activities, and promptly report suspicious persons or activities to appropriate security agencies.”

Meanwhile, NIGERIA NEWS had reported that 3, 729 soldiers of Operation Lafiya Dole were specially promoted by Nigerian Army.

We are just in the month of May but residents of Lagos state, in the commercial center of Nigeria have taken to social media as they complained bitterly about the havoc wrecked as result of the heavy downpour the State today, May 20, 2019.

The only reason that calls for concern is that we are still in the month of May, as Lagos state have always been one of those states yearly affected by flooding in Nigeria. This is down to the coastal location of the state coupled with poor drainage system.

The rain which started in the early hours of Monday caused many displeasure, which prompted many to take on social media to vent their discontent on the lingering problem.

Aside from the complaint of Legosians, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) reported the collapse of two buildings, one in Abule Egba and the other near Ladipo Bus Stop in Oshodi.

“A building consisting of 4 rooms built on the fence of house 13 Erinjiyan Drive off Alhaja Mulika street had collapsed due to heavy rain,” the agency disclosed.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) reported on flash floods immediately after the rain in Ijaiye inward Meiran. Some trees were fell on the road, preventing road users from moving freely. LASTMA officers swung to action to ensure the trees are cleared off the road.

Residents of Lagos have taken to twitter to call on Governor Elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to make that a top priority when sworn in.

A lady who deals in weed laced brownies, Dosumu Ayomide have been accused of multiple scandal by Twitter user, NIGERIA NEWS report.

Ayomide fearlessly promoted her business on Twitter sometimes last year, as she display the pictures of placed orders she delivered. This has got many people attracted to her.

Dosumu have been called out by a Twitter user, with username, @iamfemifactor for engaging in scandalous acts.
Femi Factor alleged her of taking a loan and refusing to acknowledge the money which he transferred to him. She allegedly denied receiving the money, which prompted him to call him out. Other people thereafter to Twitter to confirm that, alleging her of the said act and even shaming her.

He posted, “Here goes the story of the #5KScammer @OgShallz I dont usually call people out but taking loans and claiming not to receive it and also taking orders for your business and not delivering what people order is a big fraud and scam.”

So on Thursday I got a distress message from @ogshallz that she needed 5k which she would return by weekend, to my surprise, when i sent the money, she claimed she never recieved it, I got so worried that i even contacted barter by @theflutterwave Nd they confirmed d transaction

Was successful, but she kept denying it saying her bank’s systems were down, I even offered to help by sending her the transaction Id but she never sent back a screenshot of complaining about it. She emphasized I should send another which spooked me off right away
