The report reaching NIGERIA NEWS gathers that unknown gunmen suspected to be assassins have shot dead Comrade Bunmi Ojo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti state.
Ojo was an aide to the former governor of the state, Segun Oni.
According to the report, he was shot around a football viewing centre on Friday evening, August 10, in Ado, the state capital.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have stormed the social media upon the news of the demise of the political chieftain.
