Buratai Snr. Dies In Maiduguri Hospital

His father, Malam Yusufu Buratai gave up the ghost in the early hours of this morning at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH). A close relative of the deceased revealed that Yusufu had been confined to abed at the Teaching Hospital for almost a week due to a kidney-related illness. The late father of the Chief of Army Staff is survived by 14 children.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai has suffered a loss away from the battlefronts of the Boko Haram Insurgency.

His father, Malam Yusufu Buratai gave up the ghost in the early hours of this morning at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH).

A close relative of the deceased revealed that Yusufu had been confined to abed at the Teaching Hospital for almost a week due to a kidney-related illness.

It was also reported that he was successfully operated on at the hospital but died later.

The late father of the Chief of Army Staff is survived by 14 children.

However, neither the Nigerian Army nor the Office of the Chief of Army Staff is yet to confirm or decline the story.
