After a long debate over the venue and time of the match, the Seychelles Football Federation has concluded that September 8th being Saturday for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier (AFCON) against Nigeria also called the Super Eagles.
It was confirmed by the chief executive officer general secretary of the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF). Georges Bibi sent a mail to NFF director of competitions, known as Mr. Ayobola Oyeyode.
The match between Seychelles and Nigeria will be played in the eastern part of Africa, which simply means that Nigeria is on the away side after losing their first match of the qualifiers at home to South Africa by two goals to nil.
Some Nigerian fans might get confused over when the match kicks off as both countries are basically on time difference. In Seychelles, the match is expected to kick off at 4:30 pm while in Nigeria, the match is set to commence at 1:30.
The match is set to be played at the Stade Linite, in the capital state of the country. The stadium as a capacity of 10,000 and is said to be largest stadium in the country.
The two countries will be desperate to come back from their first defeat of the qualifiers.
