All EPL Face-Offs In The Last Eight Of The FA Cup As Manchester United Host Brighton
If there are no more of upsets that the Emirates FA Cup is known for, then we would have all eight teams in this year’s Quarterfinals being from the top-flight English Premier League.
This is dependent on Tottenham and Manchester City seeing off Rochdale and Wigan today and Monday respectively.
Then Swansea City would have to navigate their fifth-round replay against Sheffield Wednesday who held them to a 0-0 draw at the Hillsborough Stadium yesterday.
If all goes that way, then it’s just left to the ‘big boys’ to slug it out as all lower league opposition would be eliminated already.
As such, following Chelsea’s 4-0 demolition of Hull City on Friday, they will now travel to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City.
Jose Mourinho will lead his charges out at the Old Trafford as they welcome EPL new boys, Brighton.
Swansea (if they go past Sheffield) will host Tottenham (if they go past Rochdale) while Manchester City is expected to host Southampton at the Etihad in the Quarterfinals in the hope that Wigan does not cause a shock on Monday when they host the league leaders in the last fifth-round fixture.
The Quarterfinal matches are expected to be played between March 16th and 19th.
