Court Orders JOHESU To Resume Work In 24 Hours

Justice Babatunde Adejumo has ruled that the members of the  Joint Health Sector Union, JOHESU should suspend it’s strike and resume work with imediate effect.

The ruling was passed at the National Industrial Court, Abuja today.

Justice Babatunde Adejumo has ruled that the members of the  Joint Health Sector Union, JOHESU should suspend it’s strike and resume work with immediate effect.

The ruling was passed at the National Industrial Court, Abuja today.

Adejumo ruled after listening to one Mr. Okere Nnamdi who submitted an ex-parte motion on behalf of a non-governmental organisation.

NIGERIA NEWS gathered that the organisation enjoined JOHESU to go back to the negotiation table and also resume work.

 Reports also reveal that, “Adejumo, who is also the President of NICN, ordered the ministers of Health, Labour and Employment, among others, to immediately set up a committee to address issues raised by labour.”

In his words, “the President and Vice President of JOHESU to attend the negotiations.”

“The negotiations should take into consideration the provisions of the National Salaries, Income and Wages Act.”

Joined as respondents in the suit are the President and Vice President of JOHESU, and National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission.

Recall that JOHESU commenced their strike April 17th.
