“I Was Once Blind But Now I Can See” – Melaye On His Return To PDP
Dino Melaye, the senator representing Kogi West in the National Assembly has stressed that his political blindness has been cured as he made a return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The lawmaker said he was politically blind to have joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the previous years.
Melaye gave the development via his twitter handle of Monday, July 9.
NIGERIA NEWS recall that the senator representing Kogi West senatorial district in the National Assembly, announced his return to his former party over the weekend.
He also mentioned the fact that a former minister of aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, left the APC before him.
“My brother FFK and I are both returnee to PDP. He only got healed of political blindness before me. Thank God we both can now see. Once we were blind and now we can see,” Melaye tweeted.
Melaye was elected to the House of Representatives on the platform of the PDP in 2007 but he joined the ruling APC in the buildup to the 2015 elections.
The lawmaker, who was actively involved in the presidential campaign of the then opposition party, later fell out with the APC after a disagreement with Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state.
