Lawmaker Warns Russians To Stay Off Sexual Relationships From Foreigners To Avoid Pregnancy
Ahead of the 2018 World Cup, the lawmaker who heads the Russian Family parliament committee has warned residents to avoid having sex with guests during the games.
The Lawmaker, Tamara Pletnava said children given birth to with mixed race are likely to be raised single.
NIGERIA NEWS gathered this from her chat with newsmen wherein she added that “there will be young women who meet someone and then give birth… I hope not.”
The lawmaker recalled that during the 1980 Olympics which was hosted in Moscow, Russian citizens had relationships with foreigners and got pregnant.
She, however, stated that although the President Vladimir Puttin believes that the world cup will boost the birth rate in Russia,“We should be giving birth to our own children.”
“Children who are mixed-race are likely to be brought up in one-parent families,” she warned.
“It’s the children who suffer… and have suffered since the Soviet era. It’s lucky if they’re the same race (as the mother) but if they’re of another race, it’s worse,” she said, adding “I’m not a nationalist.”
According to her, “children risked being abandoned and just left with their mother; or, alternatively, being taken abroad by their fathers, urging women to marry Russian citizens.”
