Senator Shehu Idris, a lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District has alleged that the Federal Government is biased when it comes to computing the names of looters of the treasury.
Sanni added that the names of looters that have been released since this particular administration assumed office are members of the opposition party PDP. the Kaduna Senator revealed that the looter’s list is void of the Presidential cabal and members of the APC which the FG belongs to.
Sani disclosed this on Social Media. The post read, “The Federal Government’s decision to publish the names of looters is commendable. Hope the ‘call-up’ list will not be limited to the ageing ‘Umbrella United’ players but will include those in the ‘Broomers FC’ and ‘Paris Saint Germain’ and ‘Dynamo Cabal FC’ players.”
In the Facebook post, Sani figuratively referred to the APC as a broom Party and PDP as an Umbrella party.
The lawmaker also strongly believes that there are some persons in the cabal of the Federal Government that also allegedly loot money from the treasury.
Meanwhile, The Federal Government in response to a directive from the Federal High Court, Lagos has directed ministries, departments and agencies to compile names of public officials who embezzled government funds and from whom some loot had been recovered.
The Process is underway as the Executive Director, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, Mr. Adetokunbo Mumuni, has met with Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN).
The Directive from the court is for the FG to publish the names of looters and how much has been recovered from them so far.
