Femi Fani-Kayode has warned against marginalising the Yorubas in the politics of the nation, threatening grave repercussions.
Ex-Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has sounded a note of warning to all against sidelining the Yorubas in politics.
According to the two-time former Minister, it would amount to political suicide if the South-Westerners are underestimated in the polity of the nation.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Scribe forewarned that if any of these is done, then the Yorubas would fight with anyone from generation to generation over the slight.
In a twist, the All Progressives Congress (APC) also alleged on Sunday that the PDP punished the South-West for not voting for President Jonathan during the 2015 General elections by victimising all the South-Western candidates in the PDP National Chairmanship Election held on Saturday.
Fani-Kayode made these claims on Sunday through his personal micro-blogging Twitter account.
He tweeted: “I say this for all to hear. Anybody that is familiar with the history of Nigeria will know that it is politically suicidal to underestimate the SW or to treat them with contempt.
“The Yoruba have long memories. And when they fight they do so from generation to generation.”
