Lagos News: Anti-Graft Agency Recovers 10 Exotic Cars From Over 12 Suspected Internet Fraudsters Arrested In Ikoyi Night Club
In a bid to end internet frauds, no fewer than twelve suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested by personnel of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos zonal office.
NIGERIA NEWS notes that the suspected ‘yahoo-yahoo boys’ were arrested in the wee hours of Friday, May 11 at a nightclub in the centre of excellence (Lagos).
The anti-graft agency in a statement said its operatives stormed the popular Club 57 on Awolowo Way, Ikoyi, where the suspected ‘yahoo boys’ were rounded up, following intelligence report.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that while some of the suspects abandoned their exotic cars to escape arrest, others put up resistance, thereby turning the environment into “a war-like zone of sorts.”
The statement which further said the suspects will soon be arraign disclosed that a total of 10 cars were recovered from the suspects during the raid that lasted about three hours.
“The suspects will soon be charged to court when investigations are concluded,” the statement said
