World Football Governing Body has announced that Hollywood Actor and Producer, Idris Elba will host The Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony in London on Monday.
The renowned British actor of African descent, who played Nelson Mandela in the 2013 film “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” and won a Golden Globe in 2012 for his role in BBC One Series “Luther,” will host the ceremony at the London Palladium.
The London-born 44-year-old Arsenal fan will be joined by ESPN presenter Layla Anna-Lee on hosting rights.
Cristiano Ronaldo is tipped to retain the title of The Best FIFA Men’s Player which he won at the maiden edition of the Awards in 2016. Eternal Rival, Lionel Messi and World record signing, Neymar are the other players who join Ronaldo in the 3-man final shortlist.
At the category of The Best FIFA Men’s Coach, UEFA Champions League and La Liga winning coach, Zinedine Zidane of Real Madrid will slug it out with Massimiliano Allegri of Juventus and English league-winning coach, Antonio Conte of Chelsea.
