Aubemeyang Score In Arsenal Thriller Against Everton.

Gabonese football star and Arsenal’s latest arrival Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored on his Arsenal debut, in a 5-1 Premier League thriller against Everton.

The 28-year-old who scored 98 goals in 144 Bundesliga games for Dortmund and 172 goals in 213 matches in all competitions for his former club is now settling in fast at Arsenal.

A renewed sense of optimism at Arsenal following not only Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan’s arrivals but also Mesut Ozil signing a new contract exploded in a four-goal thriller in the opening 37 minutes. Aubameyang chipped home a Mkhitaryan through ball to mark the Gabonese goal debut at Arsenal.

“Our challenge is to find a balance, We’re a very offensive team but need to find a balance between attacking and defending. That will be our challenge until the end of the season,” said Manager Arsene Wenger after the match.

On Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan he said “Overall, the two players integrated well into our game and they looked as if they had played for us forever, They have similar qualities to what our game is about. Technically, they are good. They are quick and overall it was a first convincing performance.”

Commenting on Aubameyang he said “The quality of his movement and finishing was excellent. He gives problems to defenders with his movement, he is always looking to go into spaces that are difficult to cover,
“When he gets ahead it is hard to catch him. When we understand him better we can make more of that. He is not at his best physically and still has some work to do on that, but the price is reasonable I think, overall for that quality of striker in today’s market.”

“He is a good link player and he works very hard as well, Overall, I think he looked well-accepted by the rest of the team and was understanding very well how we want to play. I can say is that it was a convincing debut.”

Everton boss Sam Allardyce was furious with his side’s display, “I’m angry because accepting an instruction is the players’ responsibility at this level of football, We tried to give those instructions.” said Sam Allardyce.

“There was a very good performance by Swansea on Tuesday against Arsenal and we based our plan on that. We set out to play like that, unfortunately, Swansea played at the top of their game and we played at the bottom. That is why we were tumbling goals left, right and centre with our pathetic performance. None of it was any good. All the team played crap.” he concluded.

SUBSTITUTION

The rule that would be implemented under this is that there would be no chance given to any players to waste time on the pitch anymore, as substituted players would have to leave the pitch at the closest side of the pitch and card may probably be awarded for wasting time.

PENALTY KICKS

The Goalkeepers would, therefore, have to have a foot put on the line and would not be allowed to touch the goal posts before the shoot out of the penalty kicks. In this manner, no Goalkeeper would be able to exploit any chance to avert an opportunity to lead.

COACHES CARDS

The coach would also have to be carded by the Referee in a similar as players were being carded during a match. Both yellow and red cards would also be applicable to coaches as well as starting from next season.

HANDBALLS

  • The goal would be denied if the ball actually strikes any player’s hand during the development to have a goal.
  • If any player should make any favourable moves in handling the ball outside the penalty kickbox, even if it regarded unintentional, freekicks would be awarded.
  • The IFAB dispose of ‘manufactured’ restarts if there be any drop balls.

The IFAB make it clear that:

“The current dropped ball procedure often leads to a ‘manufactured’ restart which is ‘exploited’ unfairly or an aggressive confrontation.

“Returning the ball to the team that last played it restores what was ‘lost’ when play was stopped, except in the penalty area where it is simpler to return the ball to the goalkeeper.

“To prevent that team gaining an unfair advantage, all players of both teams, except the player receiving the ball, must be at least 4m (4.5 yds) away.”
