In a bid to enhance the digital skills of more people in the Globe, Facebook is set to open three new centres in Europe.
The centres which will strictly be meant for training people is part of the intended centres that will cater for about one million persons over the space of two years.
Facebook Launches Digital Training Centers Around The Globe
The centre will be located in Spain, Poland and Italy.
In her words, “The community hubs will offer training in digital skills, media literacy and online safety to groups with limited access to technology, including old people, the young and refugees.”
“Absolutely, we want to make sure that people see that we are investing locally, we’re investing in technology, we’re investing in humans,” Sandberg said.
Facebook has opened similar centres in countries such as Nigeria and Brazil among others.
