Fani-Fakoye Blasts Southern And Middle-Belt Leaders For Always Deferring To The Northern Leaders
Outspoken Lagos lawyer, Femi Fani-Kayode has let rip on the leaders from the Southern and Middle-Belt region of the country for their seeming lack of independence and foresight.
According to the former minister of aviation, despite the obvious educational advantage both regions have over the North, it is a malady that the Northern leaders are still always in control politically.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain said these this morning in a series of tweets on his personal Twitter handle.
According to him, ‘there must be something wrong with Southern and Middle Belt leaders as they keep running to the northern leaders despite always lamenting over Northern Domination.’
As confirmed by Nigeria News, Fani-Kayode tweeted: “At Nigeria’s independence in 1960, there were 41 secondary schools in the north and 842 secondary schools in the south.
“Despite that glaring disparity, the north took political power and have had it ever since. Is this not the very source and foundation of our national malaise?
“The truth is that there is something wrong with southern and Middle Belt leaders.
“They lament about northern domination all the time yet at the end of the day they always look to that same north for political leadership.
“Why does a Fulani always have to rule Nigeria?”
