Following a video which went viral on social media last week, the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is already making effort to repatriate another set of Nigerians being enslaved in Libya.

In the video, some of the migrants were seen appealing to the federal government and some popular Nigerian clerics in persons of Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Apostle Suleiman to come to their rescue.

The information concerning the repatriation was gotten by NIGERIA NEWS from the official twitter page of Madam Abike Dabiri Erewa.

Abike revealed that the migrants whose whereabouts were not disclosed in the video have been discovered.

Recalled that the Nigerian government has continued to intensify efforts in ensuring that all the Nigerian who are stranded in Libya following their decision to travel to Europe for greener pasture are being brought back home as a result of the slavery allegation laid against Libyan citizens of enslaving the migrants.

According to Erewa, 116 of the migrants have agreed to return back to their country home, Nigeria, while twenty-four others insist they must get to Europe.

Erewa lauded the effort of President Buhari concerning the situation as she also stressed that the administration would not relent in its effort to ensure that they are all brought back safe and sound into the country.

In the words of Abike: “116 of them have been processed online by the Nig Mission in Tripoli and the IOM for repatriation back to Nigeria 24 have refused to come back Insisting they must get to Europe PMB will continue to ensure all stranded migrants willing to return are brought back.”
