Gareth Bale To Play For Real Madrid Next Season – Los Blancos Boss Julen Lopetegui Declares

Real Madrid new tactician Julen Lopetegui has cleared the air on speculations surrounding Gareth Bale’s move away from Bernabeu.

NIGERIA NEWS notes that Lopetegui maintained that Bale is happy at Real Madrid and can fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo who recently joined the Seria A giants Juventus.

The former Spain manager in his word insisted that the Manchester United target Bale is not for sale ahead of the new season.

Jose Mourinho remains a massive fan of the Welshman and has been heavily linked with him all summer long.

Lopetegui is eager for reinforcements before the transfer window shuts and Bale’s apparent unrest at the Bernabeu could see the Red Devils launch a bid.

However, Lopetegui is adamant the 29-year-old is staying put in the Spanish capital.

He said: “He’s very, very happy. He’s very happy to play at Real Madrid. He’s happy to be here, this is a fantastic opportunity for him to show his talent.”

The UEFA Champions Real Madrid sold Ronaldo to Juventus in a remarkable £100m deal earlier in the summer.

Despite losing their most prized asset of the past decade, Lopetegui is confident his side have the quality to continue in a winning way.

He added: “I’ve talked to Gareth like I’ve talked to everyone. “He’s with the team, he’s happy, he’s in line with our goals and it’s a start of a new exciting path for us that I’m looking forward to.

“We first recognise Cristiano as one of the most important players in the recent history of Real Madrid.

“He vocalised his desire to leave and the club gave him all the facilities to do so. We wish him all the luck in the world.

“And when it comes to our players, Bale and everyone else, we are completely convinced we have the players to move forward.

“Bale is a magnificent player with qualities and we are convinced he and everyone else can fill the void.”

Real take on Manchester United in a pre-season friendly in Florida tomorrow before facing Juventus in Maryland at the weekend.

In a related development, NIGERIA NEWS had reported that 7 players that could replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.

SUBSTITUTION

The rule that would be implemented under this is that there would be no chance given to any players to waste time on the pitch anymore, as substituted players would have to leave the pitch at the closest side of the pitch and card may probably be awarded for wasting time.

PENALTY KICKS

The Goalkeepers would, therefore, have to have a foot put on the line and would not be allowed to touch the goal posts before the shoot out of the penalty kicks. In this manner, no Goalkeeper would be able to exploit any chance to avert an opportunity to lead.

COACHES CARDS

The coach would also have to be carded by the Referee in a similar as players were being carded during a match. Both yellow and red cards would also be applicable to coaches as well as starting from next season.

HANDBALLS

  • The goal would be denied if the ball actually strikes any player’s hand during the development to have a goal.
  • If any player should make any favourable moves in handling the ball outside the penalty kickbox, even if it regarded unintentional, freekicks would be awarded.
  • The IFAB dispose of ‘manufactured’ restarts if there be any drop balls.

The IFAB make it clear that:

“The current dropped ball procedure often leads to a ‘manufactured’ restart which is ‘exploited’ unfairly or an aggressive confrontation.

“Returning the ball to the team that last played it restores what was ‘lost’ when play was stopped, except in the penalty area where it is simpler to return the ball to the goalkeeper.

“To prevent that team gaining an unfair advantage, all players of both teams, except the player receiving the ball, must be at least 4m (4.5 yds) away.”
