Puyol Says Alvaro Morata Can End Barcelona Champions League Hope As He Charges His Former Team To Watch Him Closely
Former Barcelona defender Carles Puyol has warned his former team to be wary of Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata as the ten years Barcelona captain believes the Spaniard could break their back in Wednesday Champions League crucial match.
Puyol is of the stance that the record signing Morata despite been benched by Antonio Conte in the first leg of the competition at Stamford Bridge has the quality to make life difficult for Ernesto Valverde’s men at Nou Camp.
Puyol: “I think he’s a very good player, he has scored goals.
“He has had back problems but he is a dangerous player.
“He is powerful. He could do damage to Barcelona.
“I don’t know what his physical condition is – whether he is at 100 percent – but he is an important player and Chelsea are missing him.”
