Spain have announced former Real Madrid soccer star Fernando Hierro as their new coach for their campaign at the 2018 FIFA World Cup which will start on Thursday, June 14, in Russia.
NIGERIA NEWS notes that Hierro’s appointment comes just an hour after the Spanish Football Federation fired Julen Lopetegui who is now the manager of Real Madrid.
Lopetegui’s decision to have accepted Real Madrid job instigated the rationale for him to have been axed by the Spanish Football Federation chiefs.
