Former Arsenal forward, Olivier Giroud has revealed the cogent reason behind his move to Stamford Bridge.
The french international who joined the premier league champions at the eleventh hour on the last day of the transfer window, January 31, has mentioned his national team coach, Didier Deschamps as one of the people who encouraged him to value a move out from the Emirate stadium.

The former Gunners striker has been unveiled at Stamford Bridge, and he could make his debut for the Blues on Monday in a clash against Watford in a Premier League match.
“Deschamps didn’t encourage me to join Chelsea, he encouraged me to change club.
“Everyone knows my attachment to the France side and every time I wear the shirt it’s with a lot of pride.
“So of course I want to play the World Cup in Russia, which will surely be my last, so I need to give myself every chance.
“One week before the end of the transfer window, we spoke, yes. I needed to get his opinion, that’s all.” Giroud was quoted by UK Sun.
Recall that in previous report, Nigeria news reported that the Gunners will only allow Giroud to leave if Arsenal if they are able to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Dortmund .
