Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and France forward, Kylian Mbappe, has been named this year’s Golden Boy after he clinched the Award given to the best player in Europe under the age of 21.
He unseats Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanchez who won the award last year.
Italian newspaper, Tuttosport confirmed the former Monaco star as the winner on Monday. The prize is voted on by journalists from across the world.

Following his summer loan switch to the Parc des Princes, with the move expected to be made permanent next season for a fee of 180 million Euros, Mbappe has already scored four goals and provided four assists in 11 games for the Ligue 1 club this season.
The 18-year-old has been called up to the France National side 8 times under Coach Didier Deschamps and is expected to grace the 2019 FIFA World Cup as France has already secured automatic qualification.
Mbappe edged Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus, Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele and Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma to clinch the award.
Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba and Isco are all on a list of illustrious former winners.
