Halima Admonishes Entertainers To Make Their Heath A Priority
Popular Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar has urged entertainers in all industry to make their health a priority. She made this call in an interview with a PUNCH in Sunday Scoop.
Halima got her fans deeply worried early this year when pictures of her looking ill with her head shaved clean appeared on the Internet with several rumours flying around that it was cancer.
However, the actress confirmed to the correspondent that she was only suffering from complications of a fibroid removal surgery she had earlier.
Thankfully, it seems the worst of the storm is over for Halima as she disclosed that she had resumed work. She said, “I am back on set fully. As a matter of fact, I am currently in Accra where I went to work with Pascal Amanfo. I was on set with Mercy Johnson and some other actors.”
The Kogi State-born actress disclosed further that her ill-health period made her know how much she was loved. She said, “I learnt that I am loved and supported. I was overwhelmed by the outpour of love and encouragement from friends, family and fans. It really made me feel appreciated. I am grateful to everybody who showed me love and I want them to know that I love them too.”
Halima, therefore, advised entertainers to make their health a priority. “All I have to say is, take care of yourself. Don’t joke with anything or take things for granted, even if it’s a headache or cold. Treat it immediately,” she said.
