Igbo Youth President Demand Peace; Calls On FG To Intervene Before Situation Get More Brutal
Following the recent attacks being carried out by suspected hoodlums from Ibaji local government area of Kogi State on residents of Eziagulu Otu Aguleri, Anambra State, the National President of Igbo positive Change in Nigeria, Evang Chinedu Obigwe has condemned the violent act and has called on the APC led government to find a lasting solution to the matter.
Obigwe made his position known today as he also warned that if the situation is not quickly curbed, the youths of Agueri local government may engage themselves in a counterattack which would be very disastrous.
In his words, “These attacks are becoming unbearable and provocative, thus if the APC led Federal government fails to nip the ugly situation in the bud, it might attract a reprisal attack from the peaceful Aguleri youths.”
Angry Obigwe also warned that the Igbo people can no longer fold their arms and watch the peace of its indigenes being trampled upon.
Quoting him: “Igbo will not tolerate the wasting of innocent blood in Igbo land again. Those fomenting trouble should stay away from Igbo land to avoid the situation ending in regrets.”
“The security of lives and properties Governor Obiano’s administration entrenched in Anambra State is being threatened with the violence being unleashed on the people of Eziagulu Otu Aguleri and Enugu Otu Aguleri.”
“I am warning the Kogi youths to stop unleashing mayhem on the people of Eziagulu Otu Aguleri because if the people of the community are pushed to the wall they might resort to self-defence for the protection of their lives and properties.”
He concluded by reminding the Kogi youths that the Igbo youths can also decide to fight back at any time and hence the violence should be put an end to.
In his words: “Remember that no human has the monopoly of violence hence the reason why you should stop your attacks”
