The JAMB mock exam 2019 date has been fixed by the UTME organisers across the country. In the statement release JAMB fixed March 23rd as the starting date for mock exams in Nigeria
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Saturday, March 23, for the conduct of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock exercise.
The board also urged candidates to begin the printing of their mock examination notification slips from Wednesday, March 6 sot they can use for the examination will commence on the date that will be announced later
PREMIUM TIMES earlier reported how the board shifted the date of the mock examination because it coincided with the postponed date of the 2019 presidential and National Assembly election.
The 2019 presidential election held on February 23 while the state elections will hold on March 9.
This year, the sale or registration forms to all candidates (UTME/DE) including those outside Nigeria, started January 10 and ended February 21.
Meanwhile, the examination is expected to begin on March 16 and end on March 23 at JAMB’s computer-based test centres nationwide if not the postponement of the 2019 general election in Nigeria.
According to our top sources, the examination might likely commence in April 16, though this has not been confirmed by the board officially.
In a statement sent to NIGERIA NEWS Monday evening, JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, urged all candidates to guard all their details pertaining to the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME/DE) Direct Entry.
Mock examination was introduced in 2017 to give candidates the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the conduct of Computer Based Test, particularly, candidates who are not conversant with the use of computers.

Mr Benjamin said the board would not want any candidate to be at a disadvantage position, hence the introduction of mock examination and other processes that would help the candidates during the examination.
”The Board equally introduced the nine (9) keys without a mouse for candidates to use the computer with ease,” he said.
He also said the mock exercise was established to ascertain the readiness of its system and to appraise the candidates’ preparedness for the main examination
”This clarification becomes necessary because of insinuations from some quarters that marks from the mock examination would be added to scores obtained in the main examination, ” he said.
He said the public should note that the mock exam as its name implies, would not be used for any assessment process.
This year’s exercise is the third in the series of mock examinations conducted by the board under the leadership of Ishaq Oloyede.
The Chairman, Governing Board of JAMB, Emmanuel Ndukwe, earlier said the board would not extend its registration deadline.
The board is charged with the responsibility of administering examinations for applicants to Nigerian public and private universities, monotechnics, polytechnics and colleges of education.
Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu Finally Speaks On 2019 JAMB Results
During a briefing in JAMB headquaters complex in Bwari, Abuja, the Minister for Education, Mallam Adam Adamu praised the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB for showing absolute honesty, transparency and efficiency in executing its role to the Nigeria educational system, NIGERIA NEWS reports.
The Minister said the following on Saturday that, “There is no doubt about it, that the motto of the Board which is Service and Integrity had long visualised the current leadership of the organisation.
Mr. Adamu additionally said, “I, therefore, congratulate Dr Emmanuel Ndukwue, the Chairman of the Governing Board and his team for a wonderful job,’
The Minister, Adamu said that the effort JAMB had executed to curb examination malpractice through taking time to release the UTME result is worthwhile and it’s going to make the public aware that there is consequence for any sort of malpractices carried out even after which they’ve successfully succeed in the act.
The Minister also added that it is disheartening that the examination misconduct are more common among the young ones who are regarded to be the leader of tomorrow. He then said that the Ministry of Education are in supportive of the examination body in the quest to reduced the menace of examination misconduct.
He further added that JAMB have come to lay example for other examination body in the country, and that they are worth emulating. He urged that other examination body to also take the horn to reduce examination misconduct that has been of rampant things across the country.
As per the remodelling of the JAMB headquarter, the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede said that the project estimatedly cost 46 million naira.

JAMB students can now check there UTME Results Online

It is has been discovered that some students are having problems with checking their results through the SMS platform. Therefore, the exam board decided to open the portal for accessing the 2019 UTME score online.
Mr Fabian said:
“Candidates can now check their results on the portal.
“They must first log into their profiles and then, click on ‘check UTME Examination Results”
JAMB reveals the number of Candidates that have checked their UTME Results
Following reports that some students could not check their result through SMS, the exam has decided to open up on the issue.
After a long delay, JAMB finally announced the release of the 2019 UTME Results on May 11, 2019.
Students were told to send ‘RESULTS’ to 55019 with the phone number used in registering the JAMB form.
Mr Fabian Benjamin who disprove the claims that some students are yet to see their results, said that over 1.5 Million students have gain access to their results.
