Jigawa Farmers Lament Over Bad Roads To Transfer Produce

The people of Sambalisa Village of Birnin Kudu Local Government in Jigawa say  they are in dire need of roads in the area for easy transportation of farm produce, NIGERIA NEWS reports.

Speaking on behalf of the community in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Birnin on Tuesday, Chairman of Sambalisa Development Association, Malam Abdullahi Sabo, therefore appealed to Gov.Muhammad Badaru, to come to their rescue.

Sabo said that the people engaged in farming activities, and that they were finding it difficult to transport their produce to markets in urban centres.

According to him, the lack of social amenities, especially roads, had made some members of the community to contemplate migrating to other villages.

“We are appealing to the governor to construct road to our community to discourage our people from migrating,” he appealed.

He said that construction of road would aid free movement of people and boost socio-economic activities.
