The Nigerian Minister Of Sports, Solomon Dalung Speaks About The WAFU Cup Final
Nigeria’s Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung has hailed the Black Stars of Ghana and the Super Eagles of Nigeria for playing with an admirable spirit of togetherness and not as enemies in the WAFU Cup final where the eagles lost by 4 goals to 1. Despite the bad result, the sports minister says that the Nigerian homebased super eagles that played the match, showed courage and zeal for the game.
In a post that he made on Facebook, Dalung said, “this is the joint delegation of Nigeria Minister of Youth & Sports and that of Ghana chatting with the participating players and having a hand shake with each while encouraging them to play as brothers and not as enemies as the victory of WAFU is a victory of ECOWAS.
“In our last encounter today between our indefatigable Super Eagles home based players and the Black Stars of Ghana, though Rabiu Ali scored a stunning free kick late in the game, but it could not change anything as the Super Eagles settled for second place. Dalung and Ahmad meet the Nigerian bench.
