The NIGERIA NEWS brings to you the N-power May 2019 stipend update news today.
The Federal government of Nigeria is currently working out how they could pay the N-power May 2019 stipend. The Federal government would most likely pay before 29th of May, 2019, as the day would be a public holiday to inaugurate President Mohammadu Buhari for his second term tenure.
As regards whether there would be an increment to the N-power stipend due to the minimum wage of N30,000 approved, the Federal government has not revealed any information on that and for this reason the current N-power stipend for each every individual N-powers should be expected.
According to what the NIGERIA NEWS reports a week ago, concerning what the Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed said about an increment to the salary of the workers already collecting more than or equivalent amount to the minimum wage of 30,000.
She stated as quoted below:
“Apart from the increase of the minimum wage from N18, 000 to N30, 000, there is also a consequential adjustment that we have to negotiate with the labour unions.
“The total implication of that would be worked out only after the negotiations and that would involve determining how much increase every other employee above the minimum wage would get.
Breaking: Gorilla Swallows N6.8 Million At Kano Zoological Garden
The Governor of Kano, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje instruct with the immediate effect, the State Anti-Corruption Commission to query the issue of the alleged missing of the sum of 6.8 million naira made by the Zoological Garden in the state. It was proclaimed that Gorilla swallows the whole sum, NIGERIA NEWS reports.
According to the report gathered, the missing money was proclaimed to have been swallowed by the Gorilla in the zoo and in reaction to that Governor, Ganduje ordered the anti-corruption agency in the state to dig into the matter with immediate effect.
The Zoo generated the money from the gate fees collected from the visitors of the garden.
