NECO 2019 examinations, full details, timetable and when it will start

NECO SSCE JUNE/JULY 2019

The NECO timetable has been released online.

However, the registration is ongoing so if you are yet to register, you can do that immediately. No deadline has been fixed for the registration but we are aware that NECO 2019 exam will start on Monday May 20 and end on July 12, 2019.

  1. FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND AUTO MECHANICS PRACTICAL PAPER I; FRENCH, MUSIC AND ARABIC PAPER IV, THE SPECIFIC VENUES FOR THE EXAMINATION SHOULD BE CONFIRMED FROM NECO STATE OFFICES.
  2. PRACTICAL IN SCIENCES, STENOGRAPHY,COMPUTER STUDIES & DATA PROCESSING CAN BE IN SETS WHERE THE NUMBER OF CANDIDATES IS LARGE AND THE EQUIPMENT CANNOT GO ROUND.
  3. VISUAL ARTS PAPER IV [CREATIVE DESIGN] SHOULD BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE THE EXAMINATION DATE.
  4. WELDING & FABRICATION AND ENGINEERING CRAFT PRACTICE SHOULD BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES AT LEAST THREE WEEK BEFORE THE EXAMINATION
  5. NIGERIAN LANGUAGES (HAUSA, IGBO, YORUBA, EDO, EFIK AND IBIBIO) INCLUDE LITERATURE ASPECT.
  6. ALBINOS AND BLIND CANDIDATES ARE TO BE ALLOWED 30 EXTRA MINUTES AT THE END OF EACH SUBJECT.
  7. BLIND CANDIDATES MUST MAKE USE OF THE NECO SUPPLIED OBR CUSTOMISED BRAILLE SHEET FOR THE EXAMINATION.
  8. DYEING AND BLEACHING IB, PHOTOGRAPH IB, PAINTING AND DECORATION IB, PRINTING CRAFT PRACTICE IB, LEATHER GOODS MANUFACTURING AND REPAIR IB, SHOUD BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES AT LEAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE EXAMINATION DATE.
  9. USE OF SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR IS ALLOWED
  10. USE OF PROGRAMMABLE CALCULATOR OR ANY PROGRAMMABLE DEVICE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
  11. BRINGING GSM INTO THE EXAMINATION HALL IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED

AAUA Fees hike: Students Protest hike, call Gov, Akeredolu to reduce or resign

Students of Adekunle AJasin University, Akungba AKoko have taken to the street of Akure, the capital of Ondo to vent their grievances on their increased, calling on the state Governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) to reduce the fees or resign.

The school management had increased the fee astronomically from what used to be in region of N23-N35 thousand to six figures, ranging from the N120,000- 180,000 depending on the faculty. NIGERIA NEWS report

The student after being compelled to pay for their fees before the conduct of test protested against that which led to them going on an unplanned mid-semester break which was billed to lapse on May 19.

However, the school have been reported to have been shutdown indefinitely.

The students are staging a peaceful protest at the Oba-Adesida Road, some carrying a placard with, “reduce or resign” boldly written on it. some of the student are at the entrance of the palace of Oba of Akure.
