The minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, has reiterated the commitment of the federal government to complete ongoing housing projects across the country under the ministerial pilot housing scheme.

12-year-old Girl Kidnapped In Kwara, Found In Ekiti

A 12-year-old girl, identified as Tawa Taiwo reportedly kidnapped in Kwara State has been found in Ekiti state.

Our correspondent learned that Tawa, who was said to have been kidnapped in Ilorin, Kwara State, was found in Oye-Ekiti, headquarters of Oye local government area of Ekiti State on Monday.

She is however, being kept in safe custody at Oye-Ekiti Police Station as of the time of filing this report.

The former President spoke on Monday while playing host to members of a Non-Governmental Organisation, Friends of Democracy, at his residence inside the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Lagos Govt. Approves Use Of Hijab In Schools

The Lagos State Government has approved the use of hijab in public secondary schools in the state.

The state government in a circular dated 13 November, 2019 with the heading: “Re: Use of Hijab in Lagos Public School.” issued and signed by O. A Olukoya approved the use of hijab in schools.

The circular conveyed the government’s approval of the outcome, recommendations of the panel on the use of Hijab and urged compliance.

PDP alleges plot by APC, Presidency to manipulate Kwara by-election

The Peoples Democratic Party on Tuesday alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress and the Presidency are planning to use security agents to intimidate voters and rig the Irepodun/Ekiti/Oke-Ero/Isin Federal Constituency by-election in Kwara State scheduled for Saturday.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, made the allegation in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja.

334,000 policemen policing Nigeria, says IG Idris

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, has said that about 334,000 policemen are currently policing Nigeria.

Idris said this on Tuesday in Abuja at the 2019 Safe School Leadership Empowerment Conference and Awards.

He was represented by CP Olusegun Odumosu of the Inspectorate Department at the Force Headquarters.
