Latest FIFA Ranking: Nigeria Maintain 47th In The Worth, 6th Best Team In Africa
World Football governing body FIFA on Thursday announced it’s April FIFA/Coca-Cola World Rankings on Thursday.
Nigeria retained her previous 47th position in the world and sixth in Africa with 635 points behind Tunisia, Senegal, Congo DR, Morocco and Egypt.
Following a quiet period of international games, not many positions have changed in the ranking, as the rankings reflect previous few changes. The first 47 countries retained their previous positions.
Germany is still ranked top with 1544 Points and Brazil maintaining the Second Position with 1384 Points and Belgium completes the top 3 position with 1346 points.
Nigeria’s world cup opponents, Argentina, Croatia and Iceland are 5th, 18th and 22nd respectively.
NIGERIA NEWS had in April reported that Nigeria moved five places up, to be ranked 47th in the world and sixth in Africa with 635 points in the April FIFA/Coca-Cola rankings released on Thursday, April 12.
