Nigerians have continued to air their opinion on the recent defection of the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC to the leading opposition party, People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
So many people have Saraki for abandoning the APC for the PDP, the party which elected him into power, while some others have also hailed him for the decision.
The decision of the party, PDP to have appointed Saraki as the national leader of the party has raised another concern as some Nigerians have via their official Twitter account condemned the decision.
They not only condemned the decision but also accused the Senate President of so many unproven offences.
While some referred to him as a thief, who has inherited the spirit of stealing from his father, some others called him a looter as they claimed he has looted money made for the Kwara indigenes and even looted their spirits also.
Some others also advised the Senate President to go and reckon with his people concerning the recent bank robbery in Offa, a community in Kwara State.
Recalled that NIGERIAN NEWS had reported the incident which led to the death of some innocent residents of the community and how Saraki’s name was connected to it.
Also, it was further reported that the Attorney General of the country, Abubakar Mallami had disclosed that the Senate President has nothing to do with the said robbery.
Saraki who via his official Twitter expresses how grateful he was for the warm welcome he received from the PDP members as he further promises to ensure the growth of democracy.
In his words: “As I return to the party where I started my political career, I vow to continue to work towards growing our democracy, enshrining inclusive governance and achieving peace and security across the nation.”
Nigerians have however condemned him for being part of those making the country ungovernable for President Muhammadu Buhari.
