Reactions have continued to trail sexual assault allegation made by popular singer and songwriter, Timi Dakolo, against the pastor of Church of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo.
Nigerianews reported that Dakolo took to Instagram to raise the allegation.
Read some reactions below.
Here are some of the reactions on both sides:
@bodunrin1000: An allegation is not a complete story, an allegation is not the truth. While I accept that a lot of pastors use their positions to exploit people, I also think a lot of church goers, especially women need serious counseling. You wear provocative clothes, expose your cleavages and kneel under a young ‘annointed’ man of God for him to see everything. A man of God that still has blood running in his veins, and you expect a miracle to happen. No matter is position a man is still likely to be a man – and men are easily moved… Sir please first find the other side of this story and then advice women to dress modestly to church and behave modestly around their male pastors. In case of rape, let the court handle the matter.
@effoduh: Thank you so much Timi Dakolo for this. I have gained so much respect for you. Thank you for standing for the truth. Only true leaders can do this. Asides the use of religious platforms for sexual and economic gratification, let’s not forget that laws were broken too. Assault, molestation, deceit, rape, undue influence and the many deaths threats meted out to these victims are profoundly important. We need to address these legal issues too and as a lawyer, I am ready for it. Churches should be the last place where such horrific incidences and a disregard for humanity should thrive. Thank you
Nigerians!!! You speak up so it doesn’t continue, they stop facing the demon and start to face you because you shouldn’t have. Yet in their closet they condemn and speak badly about the demon. This is the reason we will never ever grow!!! As merciful as Jesus is, he is also radical. That’s the reason he is called the lion and the lamb. If you fail to speak out about an evil act, then you are part of the evil!!!! Your silence is your consent. Too many evil people in this country!!
@zinny___: Uncle timi i thought we agreed on calling them out by their names sir, Give us full gist let’s go and visit the pastor and force the truth from his mouth. If we continue to speak about them in parables like this, they will continue with their evil deeds. If you can’t call his name pls give the gist to tonto jare.
@phabvanny: COZA members, y’all should come defend ur gucci pastor🤣🤣🤣
@nikkyremmy: Breaks my heart always. To all the ladies and men who have been violated and hypnotized by “pastors ” I pray God sends you the need help and strength to come out stronger.
@youngmessi.007: Have they fvcked ur wife?..if no bro go Nd tame her cos she might be next, since you busy fixing broken women mumu🙄🙄🙄 me I’m going to that same church come Sunday 🚶♂️🚶♂️🚶♂️
@rose9.jewels: Wow.. Am surprised ds is coming from Timi.. Dt means ds matter is a serious sometin.. For my guy to just speak up like ds… I had to read twice to b sure it was my guy dt actually posted ds..
@davonemedia: Alot of people arguing about calling a Church or a Pastor out for doing Ungodly things are not scripturally enlightened. A CHURCH is not a House and a PASTOR is not a Title… A Pastor is called into a Life of Ministry, So if a Pastor spends his life defiling girls and sleeping with members wives, He isn’t a Pastor…all he wears is a Titled Tag. Hence if a called Pastor robs you wearing a Gun and a Mask, he is called a Robber not a wicked pastor. Having said that the Church is You and I who have accepted Christ… Not a built Location of worship. so if you take advantage of a member, you took advantage of a Church..and Pastors don’t do that

Good worth millions lost fire in Ibadan market after water tanker nuzzle failed to work
Shop owners in Orita-Aperin market in Ibadan couldn’t quantify their loss following a fire incident that burnt goods worth millions of naira from a source that is yet to be ascertained.
This has happened after a couple a similar fire incident occurred at the Onipepeye bridge, along Lagos/Ibadan expressway, where some people were burnt to death a few weeks ago.
Speaking with the press at the scene of the inferno on Saturday, the Babaloja of Orita-Aperin, Abiodun Ahmed, said that goods worth millions of naira were lost.
According to him, the fire which started by 12 midnight on Friday from an unknown source.
He lamented that the Oyo State Fire Service was immediately called but unfortunately when they got there, the nuzzle of their truck was not functioning.
“So we have to resolve to self-help by putting out the fire ourselves, or else, the loss would have been more than this.”
According to him, most of the owners of the shops affected by the fire just bought goods into their respective shops, adding that, that was what made the total value of the goods affected by the fire to be much.
“The shops that were affected include shop of a jewelry seller, shop of a food ingredient seller, shop of a provision seller, red oil seller and herbs seller, among others, five million, six hundred thousand was the worth of jewelries that got burnt, and most of the goods affected in the shops of the herbs seller cannot be replaced because they were ancient goods that can not be seen on market again.”
He, however, appealed to the Oyo State Government to come to their aide because the loss was too much for the victims to bear.
