US Warns North Korea To Stop Calling For War
The United States has warned that North Korea’s leadership will be “utterly destroyed” if war breaks out as it beckoned on nations to yank all diplomatic and trade relations with North Korea.
Washington has asked for tough action at an unscheduled meeting of the Security Council which took place on Yesterday. the Purpose of the meeting was to reply North Korea on its launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).
US Ambassador Nikki Haley, revealed to the council during the meeting that, “The dictator of North Korea made a choice yesterday that brings the world closer to war, not farther from it”.
He went further by directing a warning to the North Korean Government that, “If war comes, make no mistake: The North Korean regime will be utterly destroyed.”
The US President, Donald Trump has also described Kim Jong-Un as a “sick puppy” warned that “major” new sanctions after Pyongyang tested its third ICBM — which according to the North Korean president, can destroy anywhere in the United States.
The test of the ICBM had come to an end after a two-month lull in missile tests that had raised hopes for the opening of diplomatic talks.
However, the claim of the North Korean president on the ICBM has been confirmed by experts who said it is possible for the weapon to strike anywhere in the United States.
According to Kim, the test of the Hwasong-15 weapons system had placed his country in a position which it has always aimed. that his country has now achieved its goal of becoming a full nuclear power, sparking global condemnation.
In the words of Haley, during the meeting with the council, “We call on all nations to cut off all ties with North Korea”.
Haley also disclosed that President Trump has asked the Chinese President, Xi Jinping to “cut off the oil from North Korea”, adding that this would crumble the economy of the North Korea.
Quoting her, she said “That would be a pivotal step in the world’s effort to stop this international pariah”, she also warned that if Beijing does not act, “we can take the oil situation into our own hands”.
It should be recalled that the United States had recently demanded a full oil embargo on North Korea after it tested its most powerful nuclear bomb, but the request was later dropped.
