2019 Election: Stakeholders Assure Wike Of Return

Hon. Samuel Nwanosike, who spoke on behalf of the local government chairmanship candidate of the party disclosed that PDP and GDI have taken the decision to work assiduously in order to ensure that Wike wins the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

Some stakeholder of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and members of its pro-group, Grassroots Development Initiative, GDI, have disclosed that no persons or security forces can stop the incumbent governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, from being re-elected.

The stakeholders made their stand in Port Harcourt during the reception of hundreds some members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, who decamped to join the PDP through GDI, at Rumuola, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the State.

Hon. Samuel Nwanosike, who spoke on behalf of the local government chairmanship candidate of the party disclosed that PDP and GDI have taken the decision to work assiduously in order to ensure that Wike wins the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

Quoting Nwanosike “Governor Nyesom Wike has created an enabling environment for effective grassroots participation in politics by fixing a date for the local government elections.” “Our leader, Governor Nyesom Wike, has redefined the People’s Democratic Party in the past years.”

“With the ongoing development projects in the 23 local government areas of the state, Governor Wike has shown that he has managed our resources well.”

“No one can stop Governor Wike from completing the good work God has called him to do in the state. We will support his second tenure.” “Wike will sweep all the votes in the 23 LGA and their wards.”

Similarly, NIGERIA NEWS gathered that a member of the party in the House of Representatives, Okechukwu Chindah,  has appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to do its best in ensuring that the forthcoming election is carried out in a free and fair manner.

Chindah threatens that the party is ready to resist any form of manipulation of the election results by any individuals or body.
