The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC has called the attention of the Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola towards the transportation issues that Corps members in the state face.
The scheme appealed to the Governor to help pay allowances to Corps members deployed to the state to alleviate the issues on ground.
NYSC Appeals To Osun State Government To Support Corps Members With Extra Pay
The NYSC State Coordinator Osun State, Mr. Emmanuel Attah, made this appeal today during the closing ceremony of the 2017 Batch B stream 1 Corps members at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ede.
“They are the reinstatement of NYSC state subventions. Financial support to subsidise feeding in the camp. Also, payment of state allowances to corps members to ameliorate their transport and accommodation challenges.”
Mrs. Titi Laoye-Tamori who represented the Governor Aregbesola stated that the requests of the NYSC are being looked into.
She said, “The governor is already working on the requests presented to him by the NYSC. Appropriate review will be done very soon. You will receive this soon.”
Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor urged Corps members to endeavour to learn skills and be competitive after their service year.
