Olamide releases first song in 2019 `Woske’
Nigerian hip hop singer and rapper, Olamide Adedeji a.k.a. Baddo has released his first song for the year titled `Woske.’
The 29-year-old Bariga born record label owner took to his Instagram handle @baddosneh on Friday to announce the released of `Woske.’
“#Woske!!!! Audio out now,” he posted.
Olamide, former student of Tai Solarin University of Education also in another post said, the video of the song would be out by 12 noon, West African Time.
“A different kinda animal, Video out 12pm WAT @unlimitedia #Woske.’’
The song was produced by music producer and songwriter, Killertunes.
The YBNL Boss with 6.7 million followers on Instagram enjoyed a successful 2018 with hit anthems like
Science Student’,Motigbana’ and `Poverty Die.’
He started pursuing his music career in 2000 when he officially released Eni Duro in 2010 under ID Cabasa’s Coded Tunes.
In 2011, Baddo released his debut studio album `Rapsodi’ while signed to Coded Tunes.
In 2012, he left Coded Tunes and started his own record label YBNL Nation.
In 2013, Olamide became the first Nigerian to sign an endorsement deal with `Ciroc.’
The `First of All’ crooner has more than 120 songs to his name since the start of his professional career.
He has won and also been nominated for several music awards, including multiple Nigeria Entertainment Awards and the Headies Awards.
Olamide, who popularised the `Shaku-Shaku’ Dance, has collaborated with notable artists in the Nigerian music industry such as Phyno, Falz, Wizkid, Davido, Wale, D’Banj, Reminisce and many more.
Olamide drops first 2019 single “Woske”
YBNL boss, Olamide Adedeji, popularly known by his stage name, Olamide, has shared his first single in 2019 titled “Woske.”
He made the announcement of the new track via his verified Twitter account with the caption “#woske! My new single (fire) audio available on every platform”.
The new single was produced by Nigerian record producer, Killertunes. It was accompanied by befitting visuals directed by Unlimited L.A.
Known as one of Nigeria’s most consistent act, Olamide has since 2011 churned out hits every year, back to back, which has made him a top keyword on Google search in Nigeria.
Though he didn’t release a personal album in 2018 as expected of him, the multiple award-winning artiste managed to stay relevant.
He released singles like “Motigbana”,” Poverty Die”, “Criteria”, also featuring on Timaya’s “Bam Bam” and Rudeboy’s (Paul Okoye) “Double Double,” alongside Phyno.
Olamide also made major headlines in 2018 after he featured on Lil Kesh’s highly controversial single titled “Logo Benz” which received widespread criticisms for promoting ill-gotten wealth.
In October 2018 Olamide signed three budding rappers, Picazo, Fireboy and Yomi Blaze to his YBNL imprint and released an album thereafter titled “YBNL Mafia Family” in December.
