Olaoluwa who led the defection is from the same constituency with the former governor of the state , Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

Speaking on the rationale behind his defection, the lawmaker said he left his former party due to the problem of the insensitivity in the Aregbesola-led government and the neglect the people of the state were subjected to by the ruling party.

Oyediran said: “The APC has neglected and cheated the people of Osun without recourse to justice and equity. In this way, any right thinking individual or representative of the people ought to uphold fairness which only the African Democratic Congress is ready to provide.

“I am using this medium and veritable opportunity to recommend the ADC as a better alternative to bringing prosperity and happiness to citizens of Osun State.

The report has it that apart from Olaoluwa , other three lawmakers who also dumped the ruling party to the oppositions the same day are: Debo Akanbi representing Ede North, Tajudeen Famuyide representing Ilesa West and Abdulahi Ibrahim representing the Iwo constituency.

The chairman of ADC in Osun state, Adelakin, while receiving defectors and the lawmakers, said his party will provide an equal ground and justice for the defectors.

He said: “The ADC is for all. This, I can assure our new members who joined us today. We don’t segregate here and we don’t operate like cults. We are one big indivisible family. So in the like manner, we are assuring our new members to see themselves as part of this wonderful family from the outset.”

In an earlier report, NIGERIA NEWS had reported that irate youths lynched a polytechnic student in Osun.
