A lot of freebies are now being given to those who hold Permanent Voters Card which would qualify them to cast their vote in the 2019 general elections.

Yesterday, the Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade ordered the distribution of petrol and kerosene to all residents in the state who have their PVCs with them.

As gathered by NIGERIA NEWS, the distribution took place at the old Zoo Botanical Garden in Calabar under the aegis of Ayade’s Special Assistants Network (SAN).

According to the Governor, his decision to give the freebies is basically to encourage others who are yet to register or collect their PVCs to do so, before the deadline date which INEC has set for August 31st 2018.
Many PVCs holders especially those residing in Calabar the capital of the state trooped out in order to partake in the manna from the State government.

They choose to either collect kerosene or petrol of not less than 10 litres each.

The Governor urged indigenes and residents in the state to ensure they get their PVCs as that is the only thing that can make them exercise their electoral rights.

Ayade who became the governor of the state in 2015 after winning the gubernatorial race under the umbrella of the PDP further appealed to his people to ensure that they cast their vote wisely.
