Las Palmas Midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo Has Been Called Up To Super Eagles For Poland/Serbia Friendlies
Coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has seemingly named rejuvenated Las Palmas Midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo in the side that will face off with Poland and Serbia in the upcoming friendly matches in March.
This was revealed by the La Liga side when they announced that they will be releasing their newly-signed player on March 19th to join up with the Eagles’ squad.
The 10-cap Nigeria international is back in the team after a short layoff during the concluding part of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
As gathered by Nigeria News, Las Palmas released a statement that read: “UD Las Palmas player, Etebo, has been summoned by Nigeria for the two friendly matches that the African team will play in Poland, in Wroclaw (March 23) and against Serbia in London (March 27).
“In accordance with the provisions of the FIFA Regulations on the ‘Statute and Transfer of Players’, UD Las Palmas will release the player so that he can travel to Poland, since he must join with his team on Monday, March 19,” the club announced on their official website on Monday.”
