Governor Of Zamfara State Loses Top Media Aide To Death
Tragedy struck the Governor Abdul’aziz Yari-led cabinet of Zamfara State this morning as they woke up to the death of one the prominent members of the administration.
This is the Director-General of Media and Communications of the Zamfara State Government, Malam Bello Samai’la.
Malam Samai’la had been battling with a prolonged illness before he gave up the ghost in the early hours of today at about 1:00 am in his State capital home of Gusau.

Before becoming the Director-General of Media and Communications to Governor Yari, Samai’la had previously served as the pioneer Chairman of the Zamafara State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and as the former Managing Director of the state-owned Legacy Newspapers.
His demise was confirmed through a statement by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Publicity and Public Engagement, Ibrahim Dosara.
The statement signed by Dosara read: “On behalf of Governor Abdul’aziz Yari and Zamfara State Government I wish to extend our condolence to the family of the deceased, all working journalists in the state and the entire people of Zamfara state over the death of the veteran journalist.”
